On the nose this South African Cabernet Sauvignon by Anthonij Rupert is structured, with hints of vanilla with red berries and blackcurrant, graphite and cigar box.

On the palate, a full and generous sensation with an elegant but decisive tannic structure, which ends with a rich, powerful and persistent finish.

Food pairings: Meat dishes, game, spicy dishes and mature cheeses.

The vineyards selected for Anthonij Rupert wines are chosen from vines planted in specific sites and with carefully selected soil types.
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in refrigerated vans.

In the cellar, the grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon are selected by an optical sorter, capable of identifying only the best quality bunches, and then placed in French fermentation barrels.
The must is left to rest in the cold for a few days and then slowly brought to temperature. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally in the barrels.
The wine then matures for 24 months in 80% new French oak barrels. After bottling the wine is finally aged in the bottle for another 24 months.
